Looking for a Burgundy that won’t break the budget but still delivers classic French taste? The Roncier is a wine that I feel over delivers for the price. A characteristic that I constantly look for. The aroma is filled with cherries, ripe berries, a little earthiness, and a hint of oak. On the palate I got raspberries and blackberries up front. The oak followed in the mid palate with vanilla notes. There is a bit of black pepper and some earthiness on the finish. Due to its light body, this is an excellent spring and summer time red. Very drinkable and delivers on the Burgundy flavors at under $15 a bottle. Great outdoor, warm weather red wine.
