I typically do not love chardonnays, so when I tasted this Neyers Chardonnay 304 I was pleasantly surprised as it left me wanting more. This chardonnay is from Sonoma County and is fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks that have the highest possible nickel and chromium content with zero oak used. I have found most chardonnays can have a fruity, crisp taste in the mouth, which I do not love. Since this Neyers Chardonnay is not aged or fermented with any wood I was quite surprised that it had a warm, oaky, caramel and vanilla flavor that coats the entire mouth. This wine is smooth enough for delicate seafood pairings but it also is sturdy enough for a roast chicken dinner. This chardonnay is a must have for the holiday season; it would pair beautifully with juicy turkey. And for the family members who are typically red wine drinkers, I recommend giving this Neyers Chard a try because it will definitely change their mind. Cheers!
